The Empowerment Explosion Conference is a leadership program designed to better the students on the campus of Montgomery Community College as well as students in the local high schools. The conference will take place Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Montgomery Community College in Building 200.
This year’s theme, “It’s Time for Some Action,” emphasizes your dedication to not only be a leader but to put actions to words in your role of community service, advocacy and educational achievement.

Program Abstract and Overview
Leading in the 21st century workplace takes skills that, unfortunately, are becoming more difficult to find. Individuals must be able to think critically, visualize the future, problem-solve and engage in decision-making that supports the vision/mission of their company. Leaders are challenged to engage their followers and demonstrate effective interpersonal skills in the process. Teamwork is an expectation, not an option. Learn the 21st century skills necessary to survive and thrive as a leader today!
“Day In” in Montgomery County is success
TROY — Approximately 125 volunteers worked over 700 man-hours at seven different locations in Montgomery County on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day for the “Day On” Challenge.
“Day On” is a way to celebrate King’s legacy of service by taking a “day on” doing work for others rather than taking the traditional day off for the national holiday.
